Kanyari asks Wilbroda to stop commenting on his church
By Paulette Mboga, February 8, 2026Pastor Kanyari has asked radio host and actress Jacquey Nyaminde, widely known as Wilbroda, to stop commenting on his ministry, saying her remarks are unwarranted.
Speaking at his church on Sunday, February 8, 2026, Kanyari addressed Wilbroda, saying she had insulted him and accused him of defiling churches.
“Wewe Wilbroda achana na mimi. Wewe ni comedian. Wilbroda ananitukana, eti Kanyari anachafua madhabau. Kwani ni yake?” he said.
He added that while she works in media, he serves the church.
The pastor’s remarks came during a live interaction at his church, where he also spoke about compassion and support for members of his congregation. Kanyari said that public judgment should not stop anyone from seeking help and that his ministry exists to support those in need.
“Ebu kuja, niliskia nikitakawa na mama Fulani… Mimi ni wa kanisa, wewe ni wa radio station. Wachana na mimi,” he said.
Earlier, Pastor Kanyari shared a message of support after gifting Ksh50,000 to Marion Naipei. The handover took place at the church, where he encouraged compassion and helping others.
“When the world is against you, churches should be there for you, for we all know that Jesus came for the sinners,” he said while handing over the money on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.

Kanyari reassured Naipei that she should not feel ashamed to ask for assistance. He emphasised that public judgment should never stop people from seeking help when they need it.
“Many will judge you, but I promised to stand with you and support you. The journey has just started,” he said.
The pastor also spoke humorously about helping with her clothing expenses. He said that while he had previously offered to buy her clothes, he now gave her money instead.
“Sasa wacha nikuambie story, jana, ilikua nikununulie nguo. Lakini leo nakupatia peso ya hiyo manguo. Pesa ngapi? Nguo zinatoka pesa ngapi? Piece moja? Acha nikununulie za Sunday tatu,” he said, highlighting his willingness to provide practical help to Marion.
Kanyari continues to speak out against criticism and emphasises the importance of compassion and support for those in need.
