Media personality Kamene Goro has shared her financial struggles, pointing to unexpected expenses, delayed payments, and the pressure of irregular income as some of the realities she has had to navigate.

In an Instagram Q&A session on Monday, May 4, 2026, Kamene responded to a fan’s question about her lowest financial point, giving her followers a glimpse into the pressures that often sit behind her public life.

Unexpected expenses

Kamene noted that sudden and unplanned expenses often disrupt her financial balance, especially when they come at moments when she is already managing other commitments.

She explained that even with efforts to plan her finances, such costs can create immediate strain and force quick adjustments.

“This is a tough one. Probably when big unexpected expenses arise… unexpected expenses really drive me crazy,” she wrote.

She added that personal spending habits also play a role in how she experiences financial pressure, making budgeting a constant learning process.

Unpaid work frustrations

Kamene also opened up about the challenges of delayed or missing payments after completing work. She said the frustration becomes more intense when she has fully committed to a project but does not receive timely compensation.

“Also, when people owe me money after work done, I really put everything I have into the work… so it’s really frustrating when people don’t follow up with payments, especially when my recurrent expenditure can be pretty high,” she explained.

She noted that such delays create pressure because regular expenses do not stop, forcing her to constantly adjust her financial planning and priorities. For her, this is one of the most emotionally draining aspects of financial instability.

Despite the challenges, Kamene emphasised the importance of perspective when dealing with financial lows. She said learning how to mentally approach money has helped her cope with difficult periods.

“Money is great, but just because it may not be there at the moment doesn’t mean that life ends. There’s so much more to life. Money comes and goes,” she said.
