Indonesian immigration officers hold Naomi Kuria and Diana Daisy in Jakarta
By Nancy Marende, February 23, 2026Digital content creators Naomi Kuria and traveler Diana Daisy are currently being held by immigration officers in Jakarta, Indonesia, after arriving in the country for what appeared to be a routine visit.
On Wednesday, February 23, 2026, Naomi Kuria shared on her Instagram account the unexpected turn of events shortly after their arrival.
According to her, the two had complied with all the required travel procedures before and upon landing.
“So guys, we have been held at Jakarta immigration after providing everything — our tickets. We had already applied for our visas na tukalipa, because it’s visa on arrival. After filling in the arrival card, we have literally done everything. After showing them the hotel that we are going to, our return ticket to Malaysia, then the guy is like, ‘Can you come with me?’ Then tuko hapa. We don’t know our fate,” she said in the video.
Naomi further expressed her anxiety over the situation, admitting that the experience had left her shaken.
“Me kwanza naogopa, naonanga hizi vitu kwa documentaries huko kwa TV. Wacha tuone,” she added.

This comes a day after the two content creators and best friends have united after a long separation.
The two took to social media to share photos of the duo meeting at the airport after a long absence.
”Finally reunited with my bestie after one year,” Kuria wrote.
They also shared photos of themselves disappearing together to a new destination, presumably for a vacation. Naomi Kuria shared, ”Of course, running the day with my love.”
