‘I love him’ – Kemunto insists she’s dating Iyanii despite his reunion denial
By Valerian Khakayi, March 10, 2026Social media personality and influencer Diana Kemunto has insisted that she is still in a relationship with singer Ian Okwemba Oure, widely known as Iyanii, despite the musician recently dismissing claims of a reunion between them.
Speaking candidly in an interview with radio presenter Ankali Ray on Monday, March 9, 2026, Kemunto maintained that from her perspective, the relationship is still very much alive.
“Am dating that man,” Kemunto disclosed confidently, dismissing claims that their relationship had ended.
She further stated that she had reconsidered earlier statements she had made about their relationship.
Kemunto went on to say that, in her view, the relationship has not ended at all. According to her, she has already decided to continue with it, whether the singer agrees or not.
“Contract gani iliisha? Nani alimaliza hiyo contract? Chenye nilisema, I withdraw that statement,” she added.
“Contract haijaisha, nimerenew by fire by force, akitaka asirenew lakini mimi nimerenew.“
The outspoken influencer further admitted that while she believes they are still together, she is not entirely sure whether Iyanii sees things the same way.
“Mimi nko pamoja lakini sijui kama yeye ako na mimi,” she added.
Despite the uncertainty, Kemunto openly expressed her feelings for the musician, explaining that one of the things she enjoys most is being celebrated through music.
“Nampenda. unajua kupata mtu anakuimbia ina manisha nini? napenda kuimbiwa mimi huenjoy,” Kemunto said.
Kemunto also appeared unbothered about the possibility that Iyanii could be seeing someone else, saying she is not interested in knowing about it.
“Ata kama anadate mtu mimi sitaki kujua, kwanza mtu anadate mtu wangu anafa kuwa careful,” she stated.
However, she made it clear that if she ever decides to walk away from the relationship, it will be entirely on her own terms.
“Nitamwacha ile siku nitataka tuwachane,” she added.
Iyanii on their relationship
This comes after the singer has come out to refute claims that he and ex-girlfriend Kemunto are back together.
“For the avoidance of doubt, I have not renewed any contract and am not renewing, nor am I involved in any contract. The post circulated yesterday, but I am not aware of it or involved in it. RUMORS DON’T SPREAD!!! DON’T SPREAD!!! DON’T SPREAD!!!” he said.
