‘I have experienced menopause’ – Corazon Kwamboka reveals

YouTuber and fitness influencer Corazon Kwamboka has opened up about experiencing menopause earlier than expected due to medical treatment for endometriosis and fibroids.

In a candid conversation with a local podcast, Kwamboka shared her pregnancy journey, experiencing early menopause and past battles with endometriosis and fibroids.

The fitness fanatic disclosed that after discovering she had ovarian endometriosis, her doctor had her take medication that temporarily induced menopause to help her body heal.

“I had endometriosis and fibroids. During that period, I was taking these pills that kind of induce menopause. My doctor suggested it because the ovarian endometriosis I had was linked to periods,” Kwamboka opened up.

“Essentially, you really cannot get pregnant, so hizo times nilikuwa na sweat it was hard. I have experienced menopause already at this age because I had to take those pills to stop my periods so that I could heal.”

Battling endo and pregnancy

She explained that after becoming pregnant with her firstborn, she underwent laparoscopy surgery to remove her endometriosis.

“So at the beginning of the year, when I got pregnant, I did the laparoscopy surgery, which removed the endometriosis, but still I had fibroids,” Kwamboka revealed.

Kwamboka also shared a memorable moment with her mother. While on the coast, she noticed bloating and breast tenderness and told her mum, who suggested she might be pregnant.

“I remember I was on the coast with my mum, and my belly was bloated, and I told my mum my boobs hurt, she told me I could be pregnant, and I was, no way am I taking pills, and when we came back, she told me to take a test,” she added.

In a past interview, the mother of two, who is currently endometriosis-free, disclosed that she was terrified after being diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis in both her ovaries.

Her revelation sheds light on the challenges women face with reproductive health and the sometimes unexpected effects of treatments for conditions like endometriosis and fibroids.
