When they said that wonders of the earth will never end, maybe, just maybe they meant a Kenyan who has shocked many internet users.

This is after reports that a man misled six women through promises of love, support and family connections, only to leave them deceived and financially drained.

Through his Facebook page on Wednesday, January 28, 2025, Geoffrey Mosiria shared his concern after six women came forward after realising they had all been deceived by the same person.

He explained that the women approached him seeking help, hoping the authorities would step in and hold the alleged culprit accountable.

Mosiria described how the women were reportedly persuaded to send money, often under the weight of emotional stories.

“They were promised help with family emergencies, hospital bills, accommodation, even introductions to family members. Some of them hosted the man at their own expense, believing they were building genuine relationships,” he said.

“This man created elaborate stories, including claims of sick children and urgent financial needs.”

“He used trust and kindness to manipulate the women, and that is unacceptable. We cannot allow social media to become a tool for exploitation,” Mosiria said.

A cautionary message

“I am calling for the police to step in quickly. These women need justice, and it is important that we investigate these incidents fully.”

“Women must be very careful with people they meet online. Not everyone is genuine; some are well-organised and hide behind sweet words and fake lifestyles,” Mosiria sent caution.

He reflected on the wider implications that Social media can be a wonderful way to connect, but it can also be dangerous if misused.

Vulnerable people, especially single mothers, are often targeted. We must be vigilant, verify identities, and speak up when something feels wrong.

Mosiria concluded with a firm but caring note: “Let this be a reminder that responsibility and accountability extend to online interactions. We must protect one another and ensure that such exploitation does not continue unchecked.”
