Popular city preacher Prophet Victor Kanyari has moved to calm critics of his charity initiatives, referring to his past and noting that times have changed from when he used to request Ksh310 to now, when he supports people in need.

A statement by the preacher posted on his official social media platforms on Friday, January 23, 2026 urged people not to complain, adding that people responded without any problem when he requested money during the infamous 310 saga.

Kanyari noted that times have since changed, and it is now his time to give back to people through the initiatives that have turned him into a pillar for his community.

The Salvation Healing Ministry founder added that no one should complain when he touches the lives of those in need.

“Niliwaitisha 310 na mkanipea bila shida yeyote,,,sai nikisaidia mtu hamfai kucomplain (I asked for Ksh310, and you gave without any problem. You should not complain when I help people)” the preacher stated.

The preacher’s charity initiatives have earned him praise in the recent past, with Nairobi County Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement and Customer Service, Geoffrey Mosiria, hailing his initiatives.

Mosiria praises Kanyari

He issued a statement in which he compared the preacher to the biblical Zacchaeus, adding that the Salvation Healing Ministry founder is a living example of true repentance and transformation.

“This reflects the true modern Zakayo a life of repentance and transformation. Not many people appreciate those who speak the truth, but after listening to Pastor Kanyari, I noted that he is genuinely giving back to society in the same way Biblical Zakayo did.” Mosiria said.

According to Mosiria, worshippers at the church do not give any offering. Instead, they receive support from Kanyari.

“Zakayo (pastor Kanyari) has decided to return what he obtained unlawfully (panda mbegu ya 310) and is now using it to help the less fortunate in society. In his church, nobody gives offerings; instead, they receive support from him (310),” Mosiria added.

Kanyari hosted prominent people at his church during a special service on Sunday, January 19, 2026.

TikTok star and content creator Jude Magambo, the late Brian Chira’s grandmother, Manzi wa Mombasa and Mosiria were among those who attended the service.
