Grace Msalame reveals losing over 3,000 followers on Instagram for sharing God’s word
By Nancy Marende, December 29, 2025Media personality Grace Msalame has opened up about the personal cost of openly sharing her faith, revealing that she has lost more than 3,000 followers on Instagram for consistently speaking about God.
Speaking during an interview with Woman Without Limits on Saturday, December 28, 2025, Grace reflected on how the spotlight has followed her from a young age , from mainstream media to social media influence and major brand partnerships.
However, she said God has shown her that the platform she was given was never about fame but about serving Him.
“What has jumped out for me is the media spotlight, social media spotlight, partnerships like Vivo, all of that. But what God has shown me is that the platform He gave me from a very young age was meant to be for Him.”

Grace drew inspiration from the biblical prophet Jeremiah, explaining that despite moments of doubt and exhaustion, she feels compelled to keep speaking about her faith.
“Jeremiah said even when he was tired and people were not listening, and even when he decided he wouldn’t talk about God again, there was a fire in his bones and he couldn’t keep quiet. I believe that’s what God gave me this platform for,” she shared.
She admitted that at first, sharing her faith publicly was difficult, especially given her past and the public’s familiarity with her personal life.
“Initially, I wondered, was all that a mistake? People have seen me in clubs, seen me have children out of wedlock, and now here I am talking about God.”
However, Grace said her life experiences have given her a deep sense of empathy, allowing her to connect with others from a place of understanding rather than judgement.
“Having experienced life, met all sorts of people, and done all sorts of things, when I share, I come from a place of understanding. When people tell me about their challenges, abortion, divorce , I understand. God comforts us so that we can also comfort others.”

Grace revealed that the more she has spoken about God this year, the more followers she has lost, but she remains unshaken.
“I have lost over 3,000 followers, especially this year, the more I share about Him,” she said. “But nothing can replace Jesus in your life, and nothing should.”
