Nairobi County Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement and Customer Service, Geoffrey Mosiria, has raised concerns over a disturbing case in which a woman claims her kidney went missing after undergoing fibroid surgery.

In a statement shared via his X account on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, Mosiria brought attention to the woman’s ordeal, calling for urgent intervention from health authorities and regulators.

“STOLEN KIDNEY EXPOSE !! This lady was suffering from fibroids. After undergoing surgery to remove them, she developed severe swelling affecting her legs, head, and other parts of her body. She visited several hospitals without getting a clear diagnosis.”

According to Mosiria, the woman’s condition worsened over time, with her body swelling in ways that raised alarm and confusion among the doctors she initially visited. It was only after she sought care at Mbagathi Hospital that a shocking discovery was allegedly made.

“She later went to Mbagathi Hospital, where an ultrasound and CT scan were conducted, revealing that her left kidney was missing.”

The Chief Officer further explained that the woman had earlier come across a doctor on Inooro TV, where he spoke about treating fibroids. After taking his contact, she reportedly reached out and was given an appointment.

“She had initially seen the doctor on a local TV, where he explained how he treats fibroids and mentioned that he works at Maragua District Hospital. She took his number, contacted him, and he gave her an appointment.”

Instead of being treated at a government facility, Mosiria claims the woman was taken to a private hospital in Ruiru for the procedure, a move that has since raised serious questions.

“However, instead of performing the procedure at a government facility, he took her to a private hospital in Ruiru, where the surgery was carried out. It was after this procedure that she began experiencing complications, including the swelling that forced her to seek further medical attention.”

“I appeal to KMPDC and the Ministry of Health to urgently intervene, support her in accessing treatment, and assist in providing legal services. For any assistance, kindly contact her on 0724539559. Hii pia kuna mtu utaona kwa comments ooh mosiria ni clout chaser,” he stated.
