Kenyan comedian and activist Eric Omondi has completed his long and demanding charity walk to Busia, bringing to an end a journey that tested his endurance, faith and determination.

The comedian arrived in Busia on Saturday, March 7, 2026, after covering about 366 kilometres on foot, a journey he undertook to raise funds for his Sisi Kwa Sisi initiative aimed at helping vulnerable Kenyans.

Sharing the milestone with his followers on Instagram, Omondi expressed relief and gratitude after the tough journey.

“We have run the Race, we have kept the Faith, and now we must keep the Promise. We will build Sisi Kwa Sisi Hospital to Provide Free Healthcare to Vulnerable Kenyans. We will build Sisi Kwa Sisi Secondary School to provide free Education to Vulnerable Kenyans. MUNGU MBELE. BUSIA DONE!!! 366 KILOMETRES COVERED,” he wrote.

The walk began in Nairobi earlier in the week and saw Omondi trek through several towns and counties as he made his way towards the western border town. The journey was not a simple stroll. It involved long hours on the road, sore legs, unpredictable weather and the occasional need to stop and catch his breath.

But despite the exhaustion, the comedian kept going, sometimes jogging, sometimes walking, and sometimes simply dragging his tired feet forward while encouraging supporters not to give up on the cause.

Along the route, hundreds of Kenyans came out to cheer him on. Some joined him for short distances, while others donated money, food and water to support the mission. What started as a charity walk slowly turned into a moving crowd of supporters, with people walking, singing and filming videos along the highway.

At different stages of the journey, several celebrities also joined Omondi to show support for the cause, turning parts of the walk into a mini celebrity convoy on foot.

The charity trek is part of Omondi’s wider Sisi Kwa Sisi campaign, which focuses on helping struggling families by mobilising support directly from Kenyans. Through the initiative, he hopes to build a hospital and a secondary school that will offer free healthcare and education to vulnerable Kenyans.

This is also not the first time the comedian has taken on such an endurance challenge. Omondi walked nearly 500 kilometres from Nairobi to Mombasa in another fundraising campaign for the Sisi Kwa Sisi project. The journey helped raise funds and awareness for the rescue centre he hopes will offer critical support to vulnerable families.
