Nadia on the song
Hours after the release, the songstress firmly dismissed claims that the song is aimed at her partner, Ali Yusuf, widely known as Arrow Bwoy, urging fans and bloggers to stop linking her songs to her personal relationship.
In a video shared on her official Instagram account, the mother of two responded to online speculation about her new track Ex Harudiwi, stating that the assumptions started as soon as she teased the release, with blogs suggesting the song was directed at the father of her children.
“I want to say something regarding my new song, Ex Harudiwi, so ever since I teased the song and I have been promoting that I am releasing it, I saw bloggers and blog posts; watu wanaandika, ‘Nadia Mukami writes a song that sparks sijui what Arrow Bwoy,’” Mukami said.
Mukami clarified that her music is inspired by broader societal experiences rather than personal attacks.
“So when I write music, mimi ni kioo cha jamii, I write a reflection of what is happening in the society,” she added.
