Evangelist Lucy Wa Ngunjiri reveals why short daily prayers matter more than you think
By Steve Ireri, April 25, 2026Prayers Beyond Boundaries founder and Kameme FM’s Itaha Ria Muoyo show host Evangelist Lucy Wa Ngunjiri has shared insights on the importance of maintaining a consistent prayer life, emphasising that even short moments of prayer can have a profound impact on an individual’s spiritual well-being.
In a message shared on Facebook on Friday, April 24, 2026, the evangelist described prayer as a discipline that plays a central role in building spiritual strength, noting that regular communication with God is key to personal growth.
She explained that spiritual fitness, much like physical fitness, requires consistency, and prayer remains one of the most important practices in nurturing that relationship.
“PRAYER is a Discipline. No discipline is more important in developing spiritual fitness than spending regular time with God. Rick warren,” she wrote.
Lucy pointed out that despite the challenges and pressures people face in their daily lives, taking time to connect with God can bring inner renewal.
Referencing biblical teachings, she noted that while the physical body may grow weary, spiritual strength can be restored through intentional moments spent with God.
“In fact, the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 4:16 that, even if outwardly your body suffers wear and tear, inwardly you can be spiritually renewed by spending time alone with God,” she added.

She further highlighted that prayer does not have to be long or complicated, explaining that even a few minutes, whether one, two, five or ten, can make a difference.
According to her, such moments can be spent reading the Bible, allowing God to speak, and responding through personal prayer.
“Prayer can take just one minute, two minutes, 5 or 10 minutes next to your bed. You can let God talk to you through the Bible, and you can talk to him through prayer. Tì Tùhu,” she wrote.
The evangelist stressed that setting aside quiet time with God is essential, as the depth of one’s relationship with God directly influences other aspects of life, including human relationships.
She noted that when individuals prioritise their spiritual connection, it reflects in how they relate with others.
“You need that time alone with God, because the quality of your relationship with God determines the quality of every other relationship you have…Hallelujah,” lucy shared.
Lucy also contrasted human love with divine love, explaining that while human affection can fade over time, God’s love remains constant.
She encouraged believers to strive to love more like Jesus by making prayer a priority in their daily routines.
“Friends, human love will wear out. But God’s love never does! To love more like Jesus, make your quiet time the number one priority in your day. When you do, your relationships will be transformed by the power of God’s love through you. HELP ME LORD TO PRAY!” she wrote.
