DJ Fatxo turns to God in emotional plea as mother battles illness

By , March 20, 2026

DJ Fatxo has made an emotional prayer, asking God to heal his mother following the progression of an illness she has been battling.

In a post shared on Facebook on Thursday, March 19, 2026, DJ Fatxo is seen presenting his mother with a bouquet of flowers while sharing heartfelt words with her about the hope and joy that come with overcoming illness.

In the video, DJ Fatxo’s mother appears visibly frail as she sits on a raised chair in their home, but her face gradually lights up with a smile when her son hands her the flowers.

She is seen warmly receiving the bouquet and softly whispering reassuring words back to DJ Fatxo, who appears visibly uplifted to see his mother smile despite her condition.

While sharing the video, DJ Fatxo reflected on how many people endure illnesses and personal struggles in silence, as he earnestly asked God to hear his prayer and grant healing to his beloved mother.

“The battles we fight silently🥺🥺😢😢 May the good Lord heal you, mum💔😢😢😢,” DJ Fatxo wrote.

Impact of social media trolling

In a separate report, DJ Fatxo disclosed how the sustained online backlash he has faced pushed him to seek spiritual refuge at gospel minister Sarah K’s Nairobi Cinema sermons.

Speaking in a TikTok video on Thursday, December 4, 2025, the Mugithi singer said he recently decided to attend the service alone, something he said he had not done in years.

He explained that it had been so long since he visited Nairobi’s central business district without company that he struggled to remember his way around the city centre.

“Yesterday, I decided to attend Dr Sarah K’s service at Nairobi Cinema. I can’t remember the last time I was in Nairobi town alone without company, probably around 2019 or 2020. When I arrived, I was confused because I didn’t even remember where Nairobi Cinema was, but I had a hint that it was usually near Kenya Cinema, so I managed to find my way,” Fatxo said.

The artiste described being taken aback by the size of the crowd already gathered for the service. He said he had not expected to find long queues of worshippers waiting to enter the hall and noted that the turnout surprised him, especially because he had not witnessed such lines in the city centre for years.

“When I got there, I saw a long line of people queuing. The last time I saw people queuing in Nairobi was years ago, and it was just when people were trying to go home. I didn’t expect people to line up for Sarah K’s sermons. A guard helped guide me inside, and someone in the line who recognised me asked an usher to bring me in, even though I didn’t have a ticket,” he said.
