Diana Marua’s family asks her to slow down on filming, says not every moment needs a camera
By Paulette Mboga, December 9, 2025Diana Marua’s family has asked her to slow down on filming, saying not every moment needs a camera.
The discussion came up during a conversation with her son, Morgan and her sisters, Mitch and Valerie, on a YouTube video on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. They shared their concerns about how often Diana records moments, even when they are not ready or comfortable.
Morgan was the first to speak and told her, “I don’t feel comfortable around these cameras. I will speak to you alone.”

Valerie then added that the problem had gone on for a while. She told Diana, “You know your mom doesn’t know privacy,” pointing out that there are moments when the camera feels unnecessary. Mitch also shared her experience and said she had walked into the house recently and needed time to settle, but Diana immediately pulled out her phone.
Mitch said, “Juzi nilikua tu naingia, naingia, and I was like gai let me just rest. Dee akatuona hivi akasema hey guys,” describing how Diana started recording without checking how they felt.
Mitch says not every moment should be filmed
Mitch said she was speaking for many people who have family members who are well-known or in the public eye. She explained that they try to be understanding, but sometimes the camera shows up at the wrong time.
She said, “I am speaking for every family member of a celebrity or a well-known person. And I am saying this with love, not all the time a camera on our face.”
She added that they had been talking earlier, and Diana asked Morgan if the moment could be vlogged.

Mitch said, “We understand you, but sometimes you don’t look at the right moment.” She also shared that there are days when she is having a rough time, but Diana still tells her, “Mitch, changamka changamka.”
Diana responded to the concerns by explaining what happened during one of the moments they mentioned. She said she was at home when she heard a knock at the door and did not expect visitors.
She told them, “You guys on Saturday, I was at home, and I heard a knock, and I wasn’t expecting you guys,” and added that she was in the middle of filming.
Diana said, “Understand where I am coming from, since I was holding a camera and I was shooting,” explaining that it was part of her usual recording routine. She said the moment turned into a natural reaction, saying, “ilikua part ya hey guys, karibuni,” and added that the surprise caught her with the camera already in her hand.
