Claudia Naisabwa shares life tip on avoiding mistakes when starting something new

Multi-award-winning host Claudia Naisabwa has shared advice on how to avoid mistakes when starting something new, urging people to take time to understand what they are getting into.

During a QnA session on Instagram on Sunday, April 20, 2026, she explained that proper research plays a key role in making better decisions. According to her, rushing into things without knowledge often leads to avoidable errors.

“A Claudia Tip: If you’re starting anything in life, take time to understand and research it,” Naisabwa said.

She explained that learning before starting helps reduce the chances of making mistakes. Claudia said that when people take time to gather information, they are more prepared for challenges. She added that knowledge gives someone confidence in their choices.

“The more you know, the less the chances of you making mistakes,” she said.

Claudia also addressed how people should handle mistakes when they happen. She explained that errors are part of growth and should not be feared. According to her, the way someone responds to mistakes matters more than the mistake itself.

“And when you make mistakes, take them as lessons and not failures!” Naisabwa said.

Focusing on personal strengths

Claudia warned against copying others when starting something new. She explained that not everything that works for one person will work for another. She added that making decisions based on trends can lead to disappointment.

“Don’t get into anything because you saw someone else doing it and you thought it’s also for you,” she said.

She explained that being true to oneself is important in any journey. Claudia said people should focus on what they know and where their strengths lie. She added that passion and skill should guide decisions.

“Be true to yourself and go with what you know/ what you’re passionate about / where you’re skilled, etc…” Naisabwa said.

Claudia concluded by encouraging people to rely on their strengths instead of their weaknesses. She explained that this approach increases the chances of success and personal satisfaction. According to her, self-awareness is key when making choices.

“Simply what I’m saying is be true to yourself and lean on your strengths instead of weaknesses,” Claudia Naisabwa said.
