Video of Stoopid Boy spending time with elder brother who died 2 months before him resurfaces

A previously recorded video showing Gotta City rapper Stoopid Boy sharing a warm brotherly moment with his elder brother has resurfaced following the artiste’s death, capturing the two siblings together during what now stands out as a poignant moment from their final months together.

In the video reshared on TikTok on Friday, August 28, 2026, Stoopid is seen spending time with his elder brother in their neighbourhood, with the two appearing relaxed as they sit together and engage in a casual conversation.

The rapper’s elder brother is seen resting his hand on Stoopid Boy’s shoulder as they talk, creating a striking display of the closeness and affection they shared as siblings.

With his hand gently placed on his younger brother’s shoulder, the elder sibling speaks to the camera while Stoopid Boy remains beside him, listening and occasionally joining in the conversation.

The two appear comfortable in each other’s company, with the footage capturing the kind of unguarded moment that would ordinarily pass as an ordinary afternoon spent catching up in the hood.

Their relaxed demeanour is particularly striking in hindsight, with neither appearing to know that the seemingly simple moment would later become a painful piece of footage for those who knew them.

The brothers continue chatting as they sit together, with the elder sibling maintaining his affectionate gesture over Stoopid Boy’s shoulder while they address the camera.

How Stoopid Boy died

Stoopid Boy, whose real name was Edgar, died on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at his home in Gotta City, also known as Riverbank, in Nairobi’s Embakasi East Constituency.

News of his death quickly spread through the neighbourhood, with residents gathering outside his home as word of the rapper’s death travelled through the informal settlement where he had grown up and continued to live even after achieving fame.

His manager, Castro, later gave a deeply emotional account of what he encountered after being called to the house.

Castro revealed that he was contacted by Pingo, another artiste from Gotta City, who informed him about the situation and asked him to go to the rapper’s home.

He said he eventually made his way there and was allowed into the house, where he encountered a sight that he described as extremely difficult to erase from his memory.

Castro said Stoopid Boy was still hanging when he entered the house, describing the moment as particularly distressing because he had known the rapper as a lively and talkative person.

“To be honest, the image I have seen at Stoopid Boy’s home, I do not think it will ever leave my mind,” Castro said.

He recalled walking into the house and finding the young artiste still hanging, saying the sight was made even more painful by his personal relationship with the rapper.

“I had known him as a lively person and he was always speaking,” he said.

Castro further recalled finding Stoopid Boy hanging in the sitting room and described the moment as one of the saddest experiences he had encountered.

“When I entered the house, he was hanging in the sitting room,” he said.

The manager said he had the privilege of entering the room where the rapper was found and was left deeply shaken by what he saw.

“That image was so sad. He was there lifeless,” Castro said.
