Musician Stephen Otieno Adera, widely known as Stevo Simple Boy, has announced that he will finally reveal the face of his son, Dragon Junior, after keeping him away from the public eye for months.

Taking to his official social media accounts on Friday, August 7, 2026, the singer said the face reveal will take place on September 5, 2026, adding that the moment will be about celebrating beauty in all its forms and embracing people regardless of their appearance.

“Dragon Junior’s face reveal: Nimekaa kimya sana ni wakati wa kujivunia mwonekano wetu, kila mtu ako biuri kivyake,” Stevo revealed.

Tarehe tano mwezi wa tisa nitakuwa mstari wa mbele kujivunia mwonekano wangu kwa kuonyesha sura ya mtoto, yani face reveal.”

Celebrating people abled differently

According to Stevo, the event will not only introduce Dragon Junior to the public but will also honour people with different physical appearances and conditions.

Pia hiyo siku tutakuwa tunajivunia wale ambao wako na mwonekano tofauti tofauti, kama vile walemavu, zeruzeru, mkorogo, bbl na wale wa autism kila mtu ako na urembo wake kivyake hiyo siku itakuwa beautiful people experience,” he added.

Brenda’s reaction to backlash

Stevo’s announcement comes months after he and his wife, Brenda, faced criticism and online trolling over their decision not to show their son’s face.

While making the announcement, Stevo Simple Boy shared a video of his wife, Brenda, in which she questioned why some people had suggested that their son should never have been born.

Explaining why he reposted the clip, Stevo said it was recorded during one of the most difficult periods for his family, when he was deeply hurt by the insults and online abuse directed at them. Despite the criticism, he said he chose to respond with peace rather than retaliation.

Kwanini waseme mtoto wangu hafai kuzaliwa? Kwani, Stevo, si binadamu? Brenda questioned.

Video hii ni ya mke wangu, ilitumwa wakati nilikuwa natusiwa iliniuma lakini mimi nilichukua njia ya amani,” Stevo said.

Pay to view

The Mihadarati hitmaker had earlier revealed that fans will be required to pay Ksh5 million to view his child’s face.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, the musician shared a family photo showing him alongside his wife while holding their newborn child on his shoulder.

Imethibitishwa rasmi! Ili Wakenya waweze kuuona uso wa mtoto wetu, itawagharimu Ksh 5 milioni,” he wrote.

It is worth noting that Stevo’s latest announcement did not mention the Ksh5 million fee he had previously claimed fans would have to pay to see Dragon Junior’s face.

Instead, he focused on promoting self-love, inclusion and celebrating people of all appearances during the planned face reveal event.
