She explained that her first song was titled Size 8 and carried a message of self-love. According to the singer, the song encouraged women to accept themselves regardless of how they looked. She said the message came from her own experience because she had been bullied for being skinny.

“Then kuendelea hivi nika record my first song, first song was called Size 8. The song was about encouraging women to love themselves the way they are. However, they look because mimi nilikua mkonda, so nilikua very bullied,” she explained.

Size 8 said the title of the song soon became more popular than her birth name, Linet. She recalled that people started calling her Size 8 everywhere she went because they associated her with the song. She said that is when she decided to adopt the name as her stage name officially.

“The name of the song ikakua more popular than my name Linet. So everywhere I went, people used to call me “Size 8,” the name of the song. So nikaamua kuchukua hiyo jina niitwe Size 8,” she said.

The singer also reflected on how her life continued to change after that. She said she later became a Christian and changed her name to Size 8 Reborn. She added that she later got married to DJ Mo, became a mother to Wambo, and today many people know her as a woman of God.

“I met Jesus, and now I became Size 8 reborn. Yaani born of God. Halafu kuendelea hivyo the same year nikaolewa na DJ Mo. Two years down the line nikazaa Wambo, nikaitwa mama Wambo. And now people call me, woman of God, mtumishi, you see, different seasons come with different change,” Size 8 said.
