Ombachi catches crocodile before turning it into a burger in latest cooking adventure

Ombachi posted the video on his social media pages on Saturday, July 25, 2026, where he explained the idea behind the unusual meal. He said the cooking challenge was inspired by requests from his children.
“Have you ever wondered what crocodile tastes like?” Ombachi said.
The chef went on to explain that he wanted to create a meal unlike any he had prepared before. He said the menu included a crocodile burger together with other unique food combinations. Ombachi described the cooking project as a way of keeping a promise he had made.
“Let’s make the world’s first Crocodile Watermelon Fruit Salad Burger and transform ugali into an Ugali Power Chocolate Milkshake,” Ombachi said.
Ombachi explained that the idea started after his son and daughter each requested different meals. He said he decided to combine the requests into one cooking challenge. According to him, he found a way to make the unusual ideas become reality.
Unusual cooking challenge
“My son wanted a crocodile burger. My daughter wanted a watermelon burger, fruit salad, and a milkshake. As a father, I did what fathers do—I made a few questionable promises and somehow found a way to keep them,” Ombachi said.
The latest video adds to the list of unique recipes that Ombachi has become known for through his outdoor cooking content. Over time, he has shared different meals prepared using uncommon ingredients. His videos often focus on taking viewers through the entire cooking process from the beginning to the final meal.
This comes after Ombachi shared another video showing the preparation of an ostrich meal. In that video, he documented himself chasing an ostrich before later preparing the meal from his balcony. The clip attracted widespread attention after it was shared online.
Ombachi has continued to build his cooking content around creative recipes and different ingredients. His latest crocodile cooking adventure follows the same style, with the chef taking viewers through the process before serving the finished burger.
The video also featured the other food combinations he had mentioned as part of the cooking challenge, including the watermelon burger, fruit salad and the Ugali Power Chocolate Milkshake.
