‘New heart in the family’: Diamond sends sweet message after Zuchu announces pregnancy

In an Instagram post on Thursday, July 30, 2026, shortly after Zuchu publicly announced that she was expecting her first child, Diamond reposted the same maternity photos from her shoot that showed off her baby bump, alongside ultrasound scan images.
In the caption, the Kwangaru hitmaker expressed his excitement over the arrival of a new member of the Dangote family, ending his message with infant, baby bottle and heart emojis.
“New heart beats in the family 🐣🍼👼💙🩷,” Diamond Platnumz wrote, accompanying the message with photos from Zuchu’s baby bump shoot.

Zuchu’s reveal
His post nevertheless came just minutes after Zuchu went public with her pregnancy, adding a new layer of public interest to the relationship between the two musicians, whose romantic journey has been closely followed by fans across East Africa.
Zuchu, born Zuhura Othman Soud, announced the pregnancy through a series of maternity photographs that showed her embracing motherhood and displaying her growing baby bump.
The singer also shared ultrasound scan images, giving her followers a glimpse of her pregnancy journey as she prepared to welcome her first child.
“Growing Love and Eating for Two, please be a chubby baby,” Zuchu wrote in the post, expressing her excitement as she prepares to become a mother.
Her announcement was met with an outpouring of congratulatory messages from fans, fellow musicians and celebrities, who celebrated the new chapter in her life and wished her a safe pregnancy.
Breakup
In her earlier statement, the singer said that she and her partner had separated and were going through a divorce, adding that she had chosen to prioritise herself after six years of being together.
“Hello, my GPG. Mimi na aliyekuwa mwenzangu, we are now separated and going through a divorce. I announce this with a heavy heart. After six years of being together, I have finally decided to choose myself,” Zuchu said.
