Mosiria appeals for help for young man born without ears

In a statement shared on social media on Monday, July 27, 2026, Mosiria revealed that the young man visited his office to seek assistance and share his difficult journey living with the rare condition.
“Today this young man visited my office seeking help and sharing his heartbreaking story. He was born without ears, a condition that has greatly affected his life since birth. Although he has undergone several reconstructive surgeries, they have unfortunately not been successful, and he continues to suffer,” Mosiria wrote.
According to Mosiria, the young man has undergone several reconstructive surgeries over the years in an effort to improve his condition. However, the procedures have not been successful, and he continues to experience serious health challenges.
He explained that doctors have now recommended another operation to open the patient’s ear canals, which are blocked by abnormal growths.

“These growths have caused him severe pain and have significantly affected his hearing. Without the surgery, his condition is likely to worsen.”
Financial support
The county official urged Kenyans of goodwill to contribute towards the fundraising campaign, noting that every donation, regardless of the amount, would help the young man access the life-changing treatment he urgently needs.
“He is appealing to all Kenyans of goodwill to support his fundraising campaign so that he can undergo this much-needed surgery. Every contribution, no matter how small, will bring him one step closer to receiving the treatment he desperately needs and to living a life with less pain and improved hearing,” Mosiria stated.
Mosiria also shared the patient’s phone number, encouraging anyone willing to support the appeal to send their contributions directly.
