British actress and Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, have welcomed their second child, a baby boy. The couple, who announced the adoption of their first child, a baby girl, more than a year ago, shared the news on Instagram on Wednesday, September 17.

Brown, who is 22 years old, and Bongiovi, 24 years old, shared a photo showing their baby boy’s hand. They simply captioned the post, “Hi little guy!” Brown also marked the moment by wearing a ring with the word “Mom” on it.

The arrival of their son comes three months after Brown spoke about the possibility of growing her family. Speaking on the June 11 episode of Not Gonna Lie, Brown reflected on how becoming a mother had changed her life after she and Bongiovi adopted their daughter in 2025.

She said having their daughter brought a new sense of happiness into her life and spoke about the possibility of having a child through pregnancy in the future. “Hopefully one day that’s in my future,” Brown said when asked about pregnancy.

However, she also made it clear that adoption had always been part of the family she hoped to have. “For me, adoption was always a part of my future. Adoption is love. Adoption is forever,” she said.

Brown opens up about adoption

The actress has previously described adoption as a childhood dream and said she took time to understand the process before becoming a mother. Brown explained that her social work studies also helped her learn more about adoption and the experiences involved.

“The aspect of adoption in my social work courses was everything and so, so meaningful and important,” she said.

She also said she spent time learning about the experiences of birth mothers and what that journey can involve. According to Brown, she and Bongiovi took time to understand the different sides of adoption before deciding to begin their own journey.

“My husband and I took a lot of time to focus on what that story and what that journey looks like, and then we embarked on it,” she explained.

‘Waiting for the call’

Brown has also spoken about the moment she and her husband found out they had been matched with their daughter. She said the waiting period was one of the hardest parts of the process, but receiving the call became a moment she would never forget.

“Getting the call, I mean, I will never forget it. It was the most surreal feeling, and yet we both knew in that moment that we had found each other,” Brown said during an episode of On Purpose with Jay Shetty.

She recalled the couple’s immediate reaction after learning they had found their daughter. “Oh my goodness, this is our girl. 100 per cent, no doubt,” she said.

Why Brown kept the moment private

Although Brown has shared glimpses of her life as a mother, she previously explained why she chose not to record the moment she received the news about becoming a parent.

The actress said much of her life has been documented publicly, making some private family moments more meaningful to keep between herself and her husband. “I think there’s something so special about it because my whole life’s recorded,” Brown explained.

She said she and Bongiovi would always remember the details of the moment, including where they were and how they felt. The actress added that some memories do not need to be captured on camera to remain important. “It’s almost like you had to be there,” she said.
