Manager Castro reveals shocking thing he saw after being called to receive Stoopid Boy’s body
By Steve Ireri, August 28, 2026Kipawa manager Castro has revealed the heartbreaking scene he encountered after he was called to Stoopid Boy’s home in Gotta City following the rapper’s death.
Speaking about the incident in a video shared on Friday, August 28, 2026, Castro said the image he encountered inside the house was one he did not expect to leave his mind, particularly because he had known Stoopid Boy as a lively and talkative young man.
“To be honest, the image I saw at Stoopid Boy’s home, I do not think it will ever leave my mind,” Castro said.
“When I entered the house, I found the young man still hanging,” he said.
Castro said the scene was particularly difficult for him because of the personality he had known in Stoopid Boy.
“Especially for me, it was sad because I had known him as a lively person and he was always speaking,” he said.
He explained that he had been called to the house by Pingo, one of the artistes from Gotta City, after news of the rapper’s death emerged.
He added that he was among those who were able to enter the room where Stoopid Boy had been found.
“I was called by Pingo, one of the artistes from Gotta City. And I had the privilege to get into that room, and man, that image was so sad,” he said.
Castro described the rapper as having been lifeless when he entered the room, recalling the moment as one of the most painful experiences surrounding his death.
“He was there, lifeless,” he said.
Castro is the manager of Kipawa, a popular platform that supports and promotes artistes from Kenya’s informal settlements and has played a role in giving young musicians from Gotta City and other neighbourhoods a platform to showcase their talent.
From Gotta City to fame
Stoopid Boy rose to prominence through his memorable contribution to the hit “G Bag Na Jug”, which helped establish him as one of the recognisable names associated with Kenya’s Arbantone movement.
In May 2024, Stoopid Boy gave his followers a tour of the neighbourhood, showing them the streets and surroundings where he lived while introducing fans to friends, neighbours and businesses in the area.
The tour offered an unfiltered glimpse into his life away from the spotlight and highlighted the contrast between his growing popularity and the modest environment he continued to call home.
His journey was also marked by personal struggles, including substance abuse, which eventually led him to seek rehabilitation.
After spending time in rehabilitation, Stoopid Boy spoke about wanting to rebuild his life, return to music and make a fresh start.
Stoopid Boy had also continued working on music during his rehabilitation and was expected to release more material as he rebuilt his career.
His death on Thursday, August 27, 2026, has now brought an abrupt end to that journey, leaving fellow artistes, friends and residents of Gotta City mourning a musician whose identity remained deeply intertwined with the community from which he emerged.
