Linda Mwananchi in Meru: Mwangaza opens up about her first job and salary

She said her first job gave her an income of about Ksh50,000 per month.
Mwangaza shared the details while answering questions from Gen Z Baddie in a light conversation about her life and personal preferences. She explained that business was her first job and that she started doing it at a young age.
“Business lady when I was very young,” Kawira Mwangaza said on Sunday, August 30, 2026.
When asked about the amount she earned from her first job, Mwangaza said she made about Ksh50,000 every month. Her answer gives a glimpse into her early working life before moving on to other roles.
Mwangaza shares her daily routine
Mwangaza also shared details about her daily routine, saying she wakes up at 5 am and goes to bed at 11 pm. She explained that prayer is the first thing she does after waking up in the morning.
“What time do you wake up in the morning?” Gen Z Baddie asked.
“5 am,” Kawira Mwangaza said.
Mwangaza said she also has a routine before going to sleep. She explained that the last thing she does at night is call her people and wish them goodnight.
The former governor also revealed that her current nickname is “Mama”. She named githeri as her favourite meal, while chapati is the meal she likes the least. Mwangaza also said mathematics was her least favourite subject in school.
Mwangaza further revealed that her husband is the person she calls the most. She shared the detail while answering the questions about her personal life and daily habits.
“Who do you call the most?” Gen Z Baddie asked, “My hubby,” Kawira Mwangaza said.
Her remarks come as Mwangaza welcomed Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and other leaders allied to the Linda Mwananchi movement in Meru. The political caravan is heading to Meru for a rally on Sunday, August 30, 2026.
The visit marks another stop for the movement, which has been carrying out grassroots mobilisation in different parts of the country. Meru is the latest area where the political movement is set to hold its activities.
