By , September 4, 2026

Tanzanian singer Harmonize has confirmed that he and actress Frida Kajala have ended their relationship for the third time, bringing an end to their latest attempt at reconciliation.

Harmonize revealed that he and his former partner have been separated for three months, explaining that he chose to remain silent about the matter because he was not ready to discuss it publicly.

Mimi na aliyekuwa mwenzangu hatuko pamoja. It has been three months, and I am not proud of that; that is why I have been silent and did not want to talk about it,” Harmonize said on Thursday, September 4, 2026, during the launch of his latest album.

The confirmation comes months after the couple rekindled their romance for the third time.

Harmonize and Kajala first began dating in 2020 before their relationship ended in 2021. They reconciled in 2022 but later broke up again before finding their way back to each other for the third time in late 2025.

Their latest reconciliation became public in January 2026, with the pair appearing together at high-profile events in Dar es Salaam. Harmonize also reportedly proposed to Kajala again during a New Year’s yacht party, marking another dramatic chapter in their on-and-off relationship.

However, Harmonize has now confirmed that the relationship has once again come to an end.

The singer also addressed speculation that he could be using the breakup to promote his upcoming album, saying he did not want the announcement to be viewed as a publicity strategy.

Pia nilikuwa na fanya album, and it is almost getting out na sitaki ionekane kama am using it as a promo kuzungumuzia,” he added.

Reason for breaking up

Additionally, the bongo star maintained that the decision to separate was mutual and mature, insisting that there was no emotional drama behind their split.

“There is nothing emotional between us; it was just mature people sitting down and making a decision because it was not working,” Harmonize explained.

The singer also suggested that his decision to walk away was part of his personal growth, saying he now has a clearer understanding of the life he wants.

“We are just at a point where people should understand that I am a man and am growing. I have my vision, and there is a way I see life every day, just like any other man,” he added.

Praising Kajala

Despite their breakup, Harmonize spoke respectfully about Kajala, saying he does not want to discuss details that could negatively affect her reputation.

Kajala ni mtu mzuri na sitaki kuelezea chochote kitamtia kasoro,” Harmonize pointed out.

Reflecting on their relationship, Harmonize acknowledged that he had been with Kajala longer than any other woman he had dated.

“I dated her for so long; I dated her for more than any girl. It was back and forth,” he said.

The latest breakup marks another chapter in one of East Africa’s most closely followed celebrity relationships.
