Guardian Angel speaks on inspiring feeling of becoming a landlord after building mabati rentals

Speaking in a TikTok video on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, the musician celebrated the completion of the houses while revealing that he had been receiving numerous questions from people eager to know how much it cost him to put up the rental units.
“And now I am a landlord, as these houses have been completed. Right now, no more jokes,” Guardian Angel said.
The singer said the completion of the rentals had prompted many people to ask about the cost of constructing similar houses, directing those interested in the project to a comprehensive video in which he had previously documented how the apartments were built.
“And I have been getting many questions from people, all asking what the cost of building these kinds of rentals is. You may go and watch a comprehensive video I did of how we were able to work on these apartments,” he said.
Guardian Angel also encouraged his followers who had been inspired by the project to consider starting similar construction projects of their own, promising that they could also find help along the way.
“If you are inspired, you may also start your own project, and you will get help,” he said.
The musician has also pointed to the changes taking place around the development, revealing that shops were already opening outside the rental houses as the area gradually takes on the appearance of a commercial centre.
“And now even shops are opening outside here, and it will be like a mall,” Guardian Angel said.
The latest update marks a significant moment in a construction journey that the gospel musician has been documenting with his followers, particularly as he previously spoke about his plans for the mabati apartments and the income he hoped they would generate.
The development comes days after Guardian Angel spoke about the progress of the project, revealing that the mabati units were taking shape and that he intended to replicate the idea in other locations.
Speaking in a separate TikTok video, the musician said he hoped to construct similar rental developments elsewhere while keeping the monthly rent affordable for tenants.
“The mabati apartments I was building are progressing. And I will build like these elsewhere, and people will be paying Ksh5,000 per month,” Guardian Angel said.
The singer also joked about a scenario in which someone could occupy one of his rental houses while criticising him online without realising that they were actually living in property owned by him.
“And you may find that you have rented this house and are comfortable inside and you go online to troll me, only to find out that I am the landlord later, haha,” he said.
