Gospel singer Loise Kim breaks down in painful prayer as son continues health battle in India

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, Loise opened up about the pain of facing yet another difficult moment involving her children, turning to God as she pleaded for strength and intervention during what remains a deeply distressing period for her family.
“We may face many other battles, but not those involving our children. 😭😭. This pain is too much; this is not how we were meant to end up,” she wrote.
The gospel singer also drew strength from scripture, quoting a passage from the Book of Psalms as she expressed her continued hope that God would not abandon her or her children during the difficult season.
“David said, ‘I have been young, and now am old; Yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children. I am still waiting for you, my Lord, so my kids and I can be well,’” Loise wrote.
The latest update came only five days after Loise had shared a more hopeful message from India, thanking her supporters for their prayers and expressing gratitude for the progress she was seeing in David’s condition.
In that earlier update, she revealed that a doctor had been visiting their apartment every morning to provide David with physiotherapy as he continued with his treatment.
“Tunapona, watu wangu. ❤️🙏 Thank you so much for your prayers, love, and support. We are truly grateful to God for the progress we are seeing,” she wrote.
Loise also spoke positively about the treatment David was receiving, saying the medical care was being taken seriously as the family continued to trust God for complete healing.
“The doctor comes every morning to the apartment for physiotherapy, and I must say, the treatment here is taken very seriously. We are trusting God for complete healing and a full recovery,” she wrote.
She had further thanked those who had continued standing with her family throughout the difficult journey, acknowledging the prayers, love and support they had received as David underwent treatment.
“Thank you for standing with us through this journey,” she wrote.
The singer’s latest prayer also reflects the faith that has featured prominently in her public updates since David’s health battle began, with Loise repeatedly turning to scripture and prayer as she documents the family’s journey.
Earlier this month, she had similarly opened up about the emotional difficulty of watching her son suffer, describing the period surrounding his surgery as one of the lowest moments she had experienced.
“This was one of my lowest moments; seeing you suffer was incredibly painful, son. But through it all, I thank God for carrying you through surgery and for the recovery process,” she wrote in a September 11 update.
At the time, Loise also thanked people who had remembered David in their prayers while he underwent treatment, before making an emotional plea for an end to what she described as a painful cycle of distressing medical reports.
“Jehovah, my King, I am tired of receiving this kind of report. This is not my portion, in Jesus’ name,” she prayed.
The singer had also spoken candidly about the financial pressure that can accompany prolonged medical treatment, declaring that she did not want her finances to continue being consumed by hospital bills.
“My money is not for hospital bills,” she wrote, as she prayed for healing, peace and better days for her family.
