DJ Xclusive’s father dies after week-long ICU battle
By William Muthama, July 5, 2026Radio personality DJ Xclusive is mourning the death of his father after a week-long stay in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Nairobi West Hospital.
The DJ announced the heartbreaking news through an Instagram post, revealing that despite doctors’ efforts to save his father, he passed away on Sunday morning, June 5, 2026, at 10:40 am.
Heartbreaking family loss
In the emotional post, DJ Xclusive said his father had been admitted to Nairobi West Hospital for the past week before succumbing to illness.
“Good afternoon, my Dad has been ill for the last one week at Nairobi West Hospital, admitted to ICU. Despite all the effort by the doctors to treat him, unfortunately, he passed away this morning at 10:40 am,” he wrote.

While he did not reveal the illness his father had been battling, the entertainer thanked the medical team for their efforts during his father’s final days.
Appeals for support
As the family begins funeral preparations, DJ Xclusive appealed to fans, friends and well-wishers for prayers and financial support to help offset the hospital bill and burial expenses.
“I’d like to make a formal request for your prayers and any financial assistance to settle his hospital bill and make funeral arrangements,” he said.

He also shared his mobile number, asking those willing to support the family to make their contributions as they prepare to lay his father to rest.
DJ Xclusive concluded his message by thanking supporters in advance and asking them to continue praying for his family during the difficult period.

Soon after the announcement, fellow entertainers and media personalities filled the comment section with messages of sympathy.
