Bodyguards forced to intervene as huge crowd traps VJ Patelo, wife Diana in Embakasi

The couple had arrived at a popular ice cream shop in the area for a pop-up and promotional event, but their appearance quickly turned into a frenzy as thousands of fans gathered to catch a glimpse of the musician and his wife.
In a video shared on Instagram by boda culture content creator Veni, Patelo and Diana are seen arriving at the venue before a huge crowd immediately surrounds them, making it difficult for the couple to move towards the entrance.
The situation forced Patelo’s bodyguards, who were dressed in combat-style outfits and balaclavas, to intervene and create a human shield around the couple.
The security team formed a tight circle around Patelo and Diana, pushing back the crowd and creating a narrow path for them to move through as they attempted to gain access to the venue.
The bodyguards remained positioned around the couple throughout the walk, keeping Patelo and Diana at the centre of the formation as they steadily pushed through the crowd and towards the entrance.
The scene attracted even more attention as fans pressed forward, with many attempting to get closer to the couple despite the efforts of the security team to maintain a clear path.
After a tense walk through the crowd, Patelo and Diana eventually managed to make their way inside the venue, where the promotional event was taking place.
Diana stood out in a green tracksuit paired with a blonde wig, while Patelo wore a white puffer jacket and a Muslim-style hat as they made their way through the sea of fans.
The appearance also attracted scores of boda boda riders associated with the city’s popular boda culture, with some arriving at the event on customised motorcycles.
The riders and their uniquely modified bikes added to the spectacle surrounding the appearance, with the event turning into a major gathering for fans and young people from the area.
