Bishop Kenphas Muturi appeals for car donation to help spread the gospel
By Valerian Khakayi, August 13, 2026Bishop Kenphas Muturi, the leader of Word of Truth Celebration Church, has appealed to well-wishers to help him acquire a car, saying it would make it easier for him to travel and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.
To support his appeal, the bishop has created a poster featuring the car he dreams of owning, alongside a Paybill number through which well-wishers can make donations towards the purchase of the vehicle.
In a series of messages shared with his followers, Kenphas said having a car would enable him to attend church meetings and other gospel engagements on time, noting that he sometimes has to walk to meetings.
“The desire of my heart is to preach the gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Pray for me; I seriously need a car,” he said.
“God bless you, my friends, for praying for me. I believe soon God will fulfil the desire of my heart. Mungu mbele, with God, all things are possible.”
The bishop has repeatedly expressed his faith that he will eventually get a vehicle, urging his followers to believe that his prayer will be answered.
“If you have two, bless me with one,” Kenphas said in one of his appeals.
Reason for car appeal
Kenphas said he sometimes arrives late for meetings because he has to walk.
“Sometimes I am late for the meeting walking. If you have two, bless me with one,” he added.
Window shopping
Kenphas, who heads the Word of Truth Celebration Church, has continued to share his journey of trusting God for the vehicle, saying his desire is not only for personal convenience but also to make it easier for him to carry out his ministry.
He recently shared his experience of window shopping for cars, saying the experience strengthened his belief that it was possible for him to acquire his dream vehicle.
“I was doing window shopping, and I can see it is possible with God. Still having a lot of faith that I will get the best machine to spread the gospel,” he said.
Additionally, the Bishop has maintained that his faith remains strong, saying he believes God will fulfil his desire.
“What I know is that, with God, all things are possible. If He did it to you, He can still do it to me. I am a son of a king, Jesus. Just believe!” he said.
He further encouraged his followers to remain hopeful, insisting that his goal of acquiring a car to facilitate his gospel ministry cannot be limited.
“Our God cannot be limited. He will give me a car,” Kenphas said.
Apart from financial support, he has also continued to ask for prayers and support as he waits for what he believes will be an answer to his prayer.
