Betty Bayo’s children visit her grave again, plant fresh flowers in emotional tribute

In a video shared by their aunt, Mso, on TikTok on Sunday, August 30, 2026, Sky, Danny and their stepfather, Tash, are seen visiting the grave before standing respectfully at one end and offering emotional prayers in remembrance of the late singer.
Sky, who was dressed in a dera, was the first to step forward and place her flowers on the grave, followed by Danny, who was clad in a blue football jersey as he also carefully laid his flowers beside those already placed at the graveside.
Their aunt then stepped forward and planted her flowers, followed by a young girl who also joined the family in paying tribute, as they continued to remember the kind of person the ‘11th Hour’ hitmaker had been during her life.
The quiet but poignant visit offered another glimpse into the family’s continuing grief, with the children returning to the place where their mother was laid to rest and using flowers and prayers to keep her memory alive.
Later, they posed for a photograph together, with Tash standing at the very end, followed by Sky, Danny, their aunt and the young girl, as they gathered closely for the emotional family moment.
The flowers they had placed could be seen standing prominently next to the cross at the graveside, serving as a fresh reminder of the family members who continue to visit and remember the departed gospel icon.
While sharing the video, their aunt also offered a heartfelt prayer for the late singer, asking that her soul continue to find eternal peace as those who knew and loved her continue to remember her.
“Continue resting in peace, sister. Forever missed,” she wrote.
Untimely demise
The revered gospel singer was widely remembered for her music ministry and her popular hit ‘11th Hour’, which earned her a devoted following among gospel music lovers. Her death triggered an outpouring of grief from fellow gospel artistes, religious leaders, friends and fans who remembered her for her faith and commitment to Christian music.
She was later laid to rest on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at her home in Mugumo Estate, where mourners gathered for an emotional final farewell.
Her green casket was lowered into a white-tiled grave as family members and close friends watched through tears, with her daughter Sky among those visibly overcome with emotion during the proceedings.
Family members, including her widower Tash, her children and her former partner Pastor Kanyari, later took turns placing soil and flowers on her grave as the reality of her death sank in.
The farewell was accompanied by emotional Kikuyu dirges sung by women from CFF Church, with prayers bringing the ceremony to a close at around 6pm.
