Tanzanian singer Benard Michael Paul Mnyang’anga, widely known as Ben Pol, has taken a heartfelt moment to reflect on the roots of his artistry, paying tribute to Kenyan veteran musicians who played a key role in shaping his sound and musical identity.
In a deeply personal message shared on his official Instagram account on Saturday, March 28, 2026, Ben Pol said that Kenyan music had always been part of his life and continued to influence him and that he appreciated the artists who had inspired him.
Alongside the tribute, the bongflava singer shared a video of himself vibing to the old-school music of these veteran musicians, showing how deeply their sounds continue to resonate with him.

“This is part of my story. Kenyan music was in my system before I became who I am today, and it’s still there. Giving flowers to the ones who moved me 💐🇰🇪 Pure love,” Ben Pol wrote.
