Archbishop JJ Gitahi gives his flowers to Bishop Mwangi Zakayo in heartfelt birthday message

In a post shared on his Instagram page on Friday, March 13, 2026, Archbishop Gitahi described Bishop Zakayo as a pillar of the church whose dedication continues to inspire the clergy and congregation alike.
“Today, on my special day, I take a moment to appreciate Bishop Mwangi Zakayo. As the General Overseer of Priesthood, I have seen him faithfully carry the vision forward and take it to greater heights,” Gitahi wrote.
In the post, the preacher praised Bishop Zakayo for faithfully carrying forward the vision of the church, organising impactful tent meetings, mentoring pastors, and leading from the front.
Gitahi noted that the bishop’s guidance and steady leadership have strengthened the work of the ministry, giving encouragement and satisfaction to all who serve under him.
“His commitment to organising impactful tent meetings, providing strong and steady leadership, mentoring our pastors, and leading from the front continues to strengthen the work of the ministry,” Gitahi added.
Archbishop Gitahi also expressed gratitude to the entire team of clergy, both from the Priesthood Church and beyond, acknowledging the support, guidance, and collaboration they provide in advancing the work of God.
He highlighted the importance of mentorship and leadership in maintaining the growth and stability of the ministry.
“Together with our entire team of clergy, from Priesthood and beyond, we feel appreciated by the way you stand with us, guide us, and support the work of God among us. Your leadership gives us encouragement and great satisfaction as we continue serving the Lord and advancing the vision of the ministry. May the Lord continue to bless and strengthen you,” he wrote.
Reflecting on his birthday, Archbishop Gitahi thanked everyone who had sent him birthday wishes, prayers, and kind messages.
He said the outpouring of love and encouragement reminded him of the privilege of being surrounded by such devoted and caring people.
“Thank you all for the many birthday wishes, prayers, and kind messages you have shared with me on this special day. I am deeply grateful for the love you have shown. Your words of encouragement, blessings, and prayers mean so much to me, and they remind me how privileged I am to be surrounded by such wonderful people,” he added.
While noting that he may not respond to every message individually, he assured his followers that each prayer, blessing, and message was deeply appreciated.
“Please know that each one of you is very important and truly appreciated. Your support, friendship, and continued prayers strengthen me and encourage me as I continue serving the Lord. I may not be able to respond to every message individually, but I have seen them, and I am thankful from the bottom of my heart,” Gitahi wrote.
