Andrew Kibe explains why he cut off his mother
By Valerian Khakayi, December 7, 2025Media personality and digital content creator Andrew Kibe has opened up about his strained relationship with his parents, revealing why he decided to distance himself from his mother.
In a candid conversation with radio host Jacquey Nyaminde, widely known as Wibroda, Kibe admitted that he and his do not speak at all due to a past fallout.
“My mom and I do not talk at all; we had a fallout with her,” Kibe revealed.
When asked if reconciliation is possible, he was firm that he was not in the wrong, adding that his mother was the one who caused the fallout.
“Hiyo ni shauri yake,it is not me mimi am perfect; mimi sijakosena na yeye ni yeye ndio amekosana na mimi,” he added.
Father-son relationship
Regarding his father, the content creator disclosed that he once called him out for using vulgar language online, adding that their interactions remain limited.
“Nikiwa rooftop kuna time baba yangu alinipigia akaniambia ati anasikia naongea mbaya sana kwa internet nika mwambia hapana we shall not do that usijaribu kunicall na kujaribu kuingia kwa kichwa yangu,” he revealed.
Kibe also revealed that his parents are no longer together and are living separate lives. He further stated that he does not visit his father.
“They are living two separate lives,” he added.
Kibe, who is also an author, went on to say that he does not visit his father despite having limited contact, noting that he is content living independently. However, he said that his children are free to visit their grandfather.
“I do not do that; watoto wakitaka kuvist grandfather wao wamtafute. I do not see the need, I am okay living by myself,” Kibe disclosed.
The media personality emphasised that he values his personal space and independence.
“I love it ata kwangu sitakangi watu wakuje,” he stated.
