Alex Mwakideu speaks out on cheating culture, says marriage no longer scares anyone

By , December 16, 2025

Radio host Alex Mwakideu has spoken out against what he describes as a worrying cheating culture, saying marriage no longer scares anyone.

The media personality on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, questioned why being married no longer seems to stop people from pursuing relationships, especially when cheating is openly accepted.

“Ladies; Hapo ndio tumefika???” Alex asked as he shared his thoughts on the issue.

He said he is shocked by how normal cheating has become, adding, “Ati hata kama anacheat. Bora anarudi kwako???” According to him, this way of thinking shows how low expectations have become in relationships.

Alex explained that he often meets people who are open about their marital status, yet still face no resistance.

“Tena siku hizi wanakuuliza wewe umeoa?” he said.

He added that when he answers honestly, the response surprises him.

“Wanasema, ehh nimeoa, lakini bado niko nawewe tu. Wanasema haina noma,” he said.

He said this attitude is no longer rare, insisting that he sees it happen often.

“Mimi huwa naona watu wengi sana,” Alex stated. “Nakwambia nimeoa, lakini bado wanakuambia, ni sawa.”

His comments suggest that marriage is no longer viewed as a boundary by some people.

An incident that left him shocked

Alex went on to share an incident that stood out to him while speaking about the issue. He recalled an encounter that happened live in Narok, a moment he says clearly shows how far things have gone.

“Kuna mwenye alisema live, pale Narok,” he said, explaining that at the time, he was with his wife. Despite that, the same person later followed him to a club.

“Alikuja tena kwenye klabu pale na akanitafuta mpaka akanipata,” he said.

Alex described how the person had clearly prepared for the encounter.

“Sasa ikawa ashabadilika, ashaoga vizuri, amejipiga perfume yake amemeremeta kabisa,” he said, stressing how intentional the move was.

When they finally spoke, the message was direct. “Akaniambia ndio mimi nimekuja kwenye klabu.”

The experience left Alex questioning the values being promoted and accepted today. He returned to his earlier concern, asking again, “Bora arudi kwako?” as he challenged the idea that cheating is acceptable as long as someone goes back home.
