Man under police radar after ex-wife is killed after moving on

Police in Eldama Ravine are pursuing a man after his 32-year-old ex-wife was killed after moving on.

In a statement on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said the woman’s body was found outside her current boyfriend’s house on Monday, March 24, 2025. The body had deep cuts in the head.

“Police in Eldama Ravine, Baringo county are investigating the gruesome murder of a 32-year-old woman, believed to have been accosted and slain by her ex-husband who was aggrieved at her pushing with another man,” DCI stated.

“The devastating incident was reported by Saos area Chief Ms Judith Chebon last night, after finding the woman’s lifeless body sprawled outside her current boyfriend’s rented house with deep cuts on the head.”

Detectives from DCI Koibatek have commenced investigations, and the person of interest, Alex Kimeli Ng’elel (husband), who has since run into hiding is being pursued.

“Neighbours who witnessed the horrendous scene with utter condemnation noted to have last seen the victim heading to the said boyfriend’s house moments past 8 pm, only for her lifeless body to be found at 9 pm soaked in blood at the compound,” DCI stated.
