Zari Hassan about two weeks ago caused a stir when she shared a video of her baby daddy Diamond Platnumz and her husband Shakib Cham Lutaaya bonding.
Diamond and Shakib were seen holding Princess Tiffah and Nillan by their hands as they walked at an airport while Zari recorded them.
Zari and Shakib were at the airport in South Africa to see off Diamond who was flying back to Tanzania with his kids Tiffah and Nillan.
Tiffah and Nillan live with their mother Zari and stepfather Shakib in South Africa.
Zari addressed Diamond and Shakib’s show of unity while speaking to journalists at the Sheraton Kampala on Thursday, October 26, 2023.
She said the meeting came about after a conversation she had with Diamond in which she informed him that she was married.
The 43-year-old Ugandan socialite added that her Tanzanian baby daddy told her he wanted to meet Shakib as he was eager to know more about the person who spending more time with his children.
“Sometime back, I remember I sat down with Diamond and when I told him I was married he said he wanted to meet my man. I told Shakib about Diamond’s request and he gently accepted for the two of them to meet and so it was because of this that you saw all that you did see,” Zari said.
The mother of five noted that it took a lot of maturity to bring together the two men, adding that Diamond liked Shakib’s calmness and that the two even exchanged numbers.
“I think, it is us the women who like rope-pulling, but for the two men, they were very cool about it,” Zari said.
Adding; ” He [Diamond] acknowledged that he is no longer in the children’s lives and said he was happy that [Shakib] was a kind and cool guy. Right now they are good friends,” she added.
The recent meeting was not the first time that Diamond and Shakib rubbed shoulders. Sometimes last year an old photo emerged of the duo chilling at an undisclosed location.

The two lovebirds got married in a white wedding five months after they exchanged vows in a low-key very simple Muslim wedding that was held in a house in April 2023.
Ghanaian musician Francine Koffie aka Fantana, who had a fling with Zari’s baby daddy Diamond Platnumz, was among the guests who attended the white wedding which was held in South Africa.
