Top Kenyan celebs who transformed their looks with cosmetic procedures
By Paulette Mboga, August 11, 2025In Kenya’s vibrant entertainment and influencer scene, beauty is big business. From TV personalities to musicians and social media stars, some local celebrities have opted for cosmetic surgery to enhance their looks or boost their confidence. While some openly share their transformation journeys, others keep the details private, leaving fans to guess and sparking heated discussions online.
Pritty Vishy
The influencer made headlines when she documented her weight loss journey using Ozempic, a diabetes medication used off-label for weight loss. Following significant weight reduction, she underwent a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), tummy tuck, and 360-degree liposuction. Her raw vlogs detailed the challenging recovery, highlighting severe swelling, oedema, and how healing can be more demanding than the surgery itself.
“I have added a few kilos since I have been eating so recklessly. I know I have told you guys that I am going to have a BBL, and now you guys are like, huh? I am at the hospital right now and I feel nervous. I am here at 7 am, and the procedure was supposed to start at 5.30 am,” she said in the video uploaded on YouTube on Thursday, August 7, 2025.
Vera Sidika
Speaking during a TV interview in June 2014, Vera Sidika openly discussed a skin-lightening procedure she had just undergone.
“Looking good is my business. My body is my business, nobody else’s but mine,” Vera said at the time.

The socialite further disclosed that she underwent the skin-lightening procedure in the UK and suggested it cost somewhere in the region of Ksh15 million.
Amira
An influencer whose transformations followed significant weight loss. In 2024, she reportedly underwent liposuction, a breast lift, tummy tuck, and thighplasty—procedures she said boosted her confidence after a long period of personal neglect, according to her.
“Finally did it…Allhamdulilah, my surgery was a success. I am very swollen and sore, but I am getting the best care and love. I will share my healing journey, hopefully soon. I got a breast lift, thigh plasty, lipo, and a tummy tuck. I know it’s aloooot,” Amira said in several Instagram stories while in recuperation and attached to surgical tubes.
Risper Faith
A socialite, mother, and influencer, Risper opted for a combination of cosmetic interventions in 2024, including liposuction, a gastric sleeve, dental work, and a hair transplant to address post-partum hair loss. She also reportedly used weight-loss injections.

“I finally did a hair transplant.. A big shout-out to my doc. The best Afro hair clinic in the world, at Artistic Hair Centre, they don’t just restore hairlines; they give back confidence in the best of science, art, and the human way possible,” she wrote on Instagram in October 2024.
Willis Raburu
The media personality took a different route, undergoing gastric bypass surgery to address severe weight struggles. The procedure, costing about KSh 900,000, was a health necessity after traditional methods failed.

“After the surgery, I had complications not because of the surgery, but because of underlying problems. I had high blood pressure and high cholesterol,” Raburu said in an interview in September 2024.
Whether celebrated or critiqued, these transformations remain poignant reflections of identity, resilience, and the pursuit of self-love.
