Former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has eaten the humble pie and made amends with Michelle Ntalami after making unfounded accusations against her.
Sonko sensationally claimed that the slain LGBTQ+ activist Edwin Chiloba had an affair with Ntalami.
“Kumbe the late Edwin Chiloba had an affair with @michelle.ntalami na walikuwa na mapenzi moto moto hadi jana Michele had to pen down a beautiful tribute to the late Edwin Chiloba recalling the first time they met and the beautiful moments they shared. Rest in Peace Edwin,” Sonko wrote.
Ntalami while reacting to Sonko’s allegations stressed that she would be the last person Chiloba would be attracted to.
The Marini Naturals CEO further told Sonko to stop propagating lies and allow authorities investigating Chiloba’s murder to do their job.
“@mike.sonko with all due respect Sir, please write/speak only things you are certain of. The late @its_edwinchiloba and I were friends. If you understood the dynamics, you would know a feminine woman like me would be the LAST person he’d be attracted to. This is a sensitive matter. Stop propagating lies, let the DCI do their job, and let’s let Edwin rest. I’ve always held you in high regard, I believe you are above this. Asante,” Ntalami wrote.
I understand dynamics
Sonko reached out to Ntalami after she publicly blasted him over the unfounded accusations he made against her.
He told Ntalami that he now understands the dynamics of the situation and went on to console her over the loss of her friend Chiloba.
“@michelle.ntalami Asante sana Michelle for the respect you accord me and I assure you that I fully understand the dynamics in this situation, so pole for losing a dear friend who adored you. I stand with Chiloba’s family and friends during this difficult moment even as we wait for justice to be done over his death. May his soul Rest in Peace,” Sonko wrote.
Michelle Ntalami accepted Sonko’s apology.
“@mike.sonko I appreciate this. Thank you. To all, let’s now let the matter rest, and above all, Edwin,” she wrote.
