Shorn Arwa expresses exhaustion with netizens who find fault in everything she does
By Steve Ireri, August 24, 2025Digital creator Shorn Arwa has expressed her deep frustration with the overwhelming flood of advice circulating on TikTok, saying she has grown weary of the constant scrutiny and contradictory opinions offered by self-proclaimed experts on the platform.
In a video shared on her TikTok on Saturday, August 23, 2025, she noted that every personal choice she makes seems to attract criticism framed as guidance, leaving her feeling as though there is no winning path.
She explained that some users have accused her of struggling with forgiveness because of what they termed unrealistic expectations that she expects others to meet.
“I am just so tired of TikTok advice. I want to live my life on my own terms. Somebody said I have a problem with forgiving people because I have unrealistic expectations that I want to be met,” she said.
On the other hand, others have claimed that her ability to forgive too quickly reflects a lack of boundaries, painting her as a people pleaser.
The conflicting feedback, she said, has reached a point where she feels trapped in a cycle of judgement, where whichever way she turns, someone finds fault.
“Another one said I am easily forgiving because I do not have boundaries, and that makes me a people pleaser. What do you want me to do? It feels like there is always going to be a problem with everything I do,” she added.

According to her, forgiving makes her look weak, but cutting people off makes her appear unreasonable.
This, she argued, has left her questioning the purpose of such advice that only seems to confuse rather than empower.
“If I forgive, I am a people pleaser. If I cut people off, I have unrealistic expectations. What do you want me to do? In fact, burn all this TikTok, I am tired.”
Football opinions
Earlier, on August 22, 2025, the social media personality came to the defence of female football fans who had recently started supporting the Harambee Stars.
She similarly shared a video on her TikTok dismissing claims that their enthusiasm is driven by attraction to the players rather than genuine support for the national team.
Speaking as Kenya faced Madagascar in a highly anticipated CHAN quarterfinal clash at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, Arwa emphasised that the sudden surge in female supporters is rooted in excitement for the team’s performance, not the players’ personal lives.
“Now the girls who are dating Harambee Stars players will not let us rest. Even pictures from archives, they are posting them now. My sisters, we do not want your men. We are here to cheer the national team. Oh my man, we are just cheering these guys,” she said.
Shorn Arwa’s statement came as she attended today’s highly anticipated CHAN quarterfinal match against Madagascar, donning a striking red jersey in support of the national team.
