Ruth K marks birthday with reminder to blossom even in stressful times
By Steve Ireri, July 21, 2025Content creator and influencer Ruth Njoki Karegi, alias Ruth K, has marked her 24th birthday with a heartfelt message about resilience and self-love, alongside a unique cake made entirely of fresh fruits.
Her birthday post, which comes in the wake of a messy public exchange with her baby daddy, Mulamwah, carried a tone of healing, self-empowerment, and optimism for the future.
In her reflective message, shared on TikTok on Monday, July 21, 2025, Ruth explained that the fruitcake was not just a dietary or aesthetic choice but a metaphor for life.
She described the cake as ‘raw, sweet, vibrant, and sometimes messy,’ noting that this perfectly mirrors the nature of life itself.
She went on to add that the celebration was her way of reminding herself, and by extension her fans, that beauty can emerge from any situation, no matter how stressful or difficult.
“This year’s birthday cake is 100% fruits, 0% regrets. 🤗🥳 For my 24th birthday, I built a cake that reflects life: raw, sweet, vibrant and sometimes messy. I wanted to remind myself that you can create beauty from anything; you can blossom even in the most stressful situations,” she wrote.
Her post also hinted at personal growth and resilience, with Ruth K noting that one must always choose oneself, stay focused, and never lose sight of one’s worth even when life throws challenges one’s way.
Ruth’s message also drew a line under these tensions, subtly expressing that she is moving forward with renewed strength and a fresh perspective.
She insisted that she had a hopeful outlook for the future, saying she is excited for this new chapter of her life and that only God knows what lies ahead.
“💯 And no matter what life gives you, always choose you and never lose focus ❤️. Am so excited for this new chapter. Only God knows. 🥰Happy birthday to me🎂,” she posted.

This sentiment appeared to resonate deeply with her followers, many of whom have witnessed the drama that has surrounded her co-parenting relationship with Mulamwah in recent weeks.
Apologies
The two, who share a young son, have been in the spotlight following a series of public disagreements and online confrontations that drew significant attention from fans and gossip blogs alike.
However, the comedian-cum-influencer and Ruth both issued public apologies following the bitter exchange of accusations online on June 19, 2025.
The feud, which saw the pair trading claims ranging from manipulation and disrespect both during and after their breakup, escalated rapidly on social media.
However, in a surprising turn, each posted conciliatory statements expressing regret for the emotional harm caused during what was initially a brutal breakup aired in public view.

Taking to his official social media channels on Thursday night, June 19, 2025, Mulamwah apologised to his ex-lover and his fans.
“I have retraced my steps and was driven by a lot of factors, but that does not justify the actions taken and done. I take back my words. Poleni sana to the fans; I have disappointed lots of you in so many ways. Pole sana to R.K. Mama Oyando. I forgive you; I hope you forgive too. Let’s focus on the work ahead, na tuombe mungu atupee mwelekeo, when it comes to making decisions in the future,” Mulamwah posted.
On her part, Ruth asked her followers for forgiveness, noting that she has been going through a lot privately.
“I want to start by saying I am truly sorry. I know today’s posts may have come off the wrong way, and I take full responsibility. I should have done better; I will be here. Behind the scenes, I’ve been going through a quiet storm that has reminded me just how much I carry every single day. As a single mom, raising my son is both my greatest responsibility and my biggest blessing. He’s the cousin I fight so hard. The reason I want to become a better woman. And the reason I’ve chosen to take a step back and refocus on what really matters- him, my growth, and my brand,” Ruth apologised.
