Nigerian singer Ruger’s priceless reaction after meeting his Kenyan impersonator

Michael Adebayo Olayinka widely known as Ruger has expressed gratitude towards his Kenyan doppelganger Ruger wa Kayole.

Speaking during a live show interview with a local TV station in Nairobi, on Friday night of August 2, 2024, Ruger revealed that he was excited and couldn’t wait to finally meet his impersonator.

“So we have Ruger wa Kayole we want to bring him so that you can gange him, “the TV host said.

“Ooh amazing, ooh amazing, definitely,” Ruger responded.

While welcoming his impersonator on stage, Ruger, showed love towards his imitator adding that he will henceforth be referred to as Kenyan Ruger from the initial Ruger wa Kayole.

The Nigerian superstar further appreciated and encouraged his doppelganger to continue doing what he does best.

He also disclosed that he had saved the video of the Kenyan Ruger’s electrifying performance from TikTok.

“Now it is Kenyan Ruger, not Ruger wa Kayole, as a professional, guess what I saved a TikTok video from him yesterday, yes I saved a Tiktok from him, I love you bro nice work you are doing,” Ruger appreciated.

When asked why he is being positive toward his impersonator, the sensational Nigerian musician said that he feels great to have someone not only imitates his music but also his looks.

“That shows how far I have gone with my image you understand not only in music, to have someone imitate my looks, imitate everything I do, I see his energy on stage and am like,” he said,

“One of my friends from London even sent me a video of him and I was like yeah amazing.”

At the end of the interview, both Nigerian Ruger and Kenyan Ruger danced to the superstar’s viral hit song dubbed ‘Girlfriend‘.

Ruger had earlier revealed that he has no plans of suing his Kenyan impersonator who has been performing his songs in concerts.

Message to his Kenyan fans

The international artiste thanked his Kenyan fans for their unconditional support since the beginning of his music career.

“I love you guys thank you for always supporting me from the beginning of my career up to this moment it has been a long journey up to this stage I appreciate you guys I love you and I will always love you guys God bless you,” Ruger said.

Ruger performing in Nairobi

Ruger is set to headline the Raha Rave festival on Saturday, August 3, 2024, alongside other renowned artistes and top Afro-house DJs at Sarit Centre in  Nairobi County.

The festival which will be emceed by MC Azeezah is expected to start at 4.00 pm and artistes such as Tipsy Gee, Dj Allie B from Tanzania, Dj Seme, Father Moh, Saruj, Coco EM, Big Chipi, DJ Limostrom and  Razscooby are expected to perform.
