American rapper and record label producer Rick Ross has finally confirmed that he actually did partner with Kenyan rapper Khaligraph.

This comes hot on the heels of trolls aimed at the Kenyan singer for claiming that he had actually partnered with the affluent LA-based singer and that they were set to release a song.

In an Instagram video that the rapper shared alongside South African reality TV star Yolanda Mukondeleli on Tuesday, January 14, 2024, he revealed a list of African artists he was partnering with as he commenced his African tour.

Khaligraph Jones was among them, alongside Tanzanian Bongo Flava singer Diamond Platnumz and rapper Rosa Lee. The three are the only East African artistes who made it to his list.

The rapper then listed other African music heavyweights like South Africa’s Nasty and Focalistic, Nigeria’s Yemi and Blackbonez, Jamaica’s Spice Diana and Ghana’s Stone Boy.

Rick also listed renowned African music producers like Chopsticks, KOP, DJ Torico and Major.

Going to South Africa

While having a cosy time with the Big Brother Mzansi contestant, Rick Ross noted that he will invite all the artists to come to South Africa and prove why people follow them in troves on YouTube.

He hailed them as legendary and iconic and said he could not wait to meet them.

“I just got an interview with the iconic, the legendary. Every artist has to come down, sit down, and do what makes you all have that big following on YouTube. These are the artists I want to shout out right now while I’m here in South Africa. Nasty C, Stone Boy, Blackbones, Focalistic, Yemi, Rosa Lee and Diamond,” Rick Ross noted.

He explained that he was reading their names on his Instagram story to do a shout-out for them as they were one among a select A-list.

Khaligraph gets trolled

In March of 2024, the ‘Khali Cartel’ producer shared a video of the UK rapper on his Instagram and claimed he had cosigned him.

He hailed that his caliber is only comparable to that of Rick Ross and hailed him as the OG, a name he often likes to refer to himself with.

As if that was not enough, the singer, days later, made another post on his Instagram stories claiming he had done a partnership with the rapper and that they were set to produce a song.

This made fans flood his comment section to troll him, telling him that he was obsessing over the artist way too far and that the habit was starting to get lame.

However, the singer was quick to counter the trolls, as he, in a few days, made a post that was a video of Rick Ross asking fans to stream his music.

The recent shout-out now silences all the trolls and positions the singer as the OG he has long been touting himself to be.
