Nurse Judy shares how emotional movie made her fear for her children’s safety in America
By Paulette Mboga, October 26, 2025Nurse Judy has shared an emotional video of herself crying after watching the movie The Perfect Neighbour, saying it triggered deep fears about raising her children in America.
In her post on Sunday, October 26, 2025, Judy said the film made her reflect on the challenges and dangers that come with being a Black mother moving to a new country.

In the video, the nurse appears visibly emotional as she opens up about her reaction to the movie, describing it as a real and raw moment that she decided to record. She explained that while it may look unusual to cry on camera, her emotions were genuine because the film touched on issues she personally relates to.
Reflect on motherhood and fear
“POV: When a movie triggers every fear you have as a Black mom who is about to bring her kids to America! But wait, Yani, this is how I look when crying. I know it’s ridiculous to record crying on cam, but this was my real reaction while watching The Perfect Neighbour,” Judy said.
“As a Black mother who’s about to bring her kids to this country, this movie hit way too close to home. Ey!!!!! Am I the drama? Am I just too emotional, or is this movie actually legit sad?!” she added.
Her remarks showed the emotional toll that certain films can have, especially when they highlight fears or insecurities parents carry when moving abroad. For Judy, the movie’s story seemed to mirror her own worries about how her children might adapt and stay safe in a new environment.
Many working mothers like Judy often face anxiety when planning to relocate their families, especially to countries where racial and cultural differences can affect daily experiences. Through her post, Judy expressed that her tears were not only about the movie but also about the uncertainty of raising children in an unfamiliar setting.
Her message revealed the emotional side of migration and motherhood — the fear, love, and hope that come with trying to give one’s children a better life while worrying about the challenges ahead.
