Naomi Raine and Chandler Moore announce exit from Maverick City Music
By Nancy Marende, October 7, 2025Two of the most prominent voices in Maverick City Music, Naomi Raine and Chandler Moore, have officially announced their departure from the award-winning collective.
Maverick City Music, known for redefining modern worship and breaking cultural and denominational barriers, has been home to some of the most powerful worship anthems of the past decade.
In emotional statements shared on social media on Monday, October 6, 2025, both artists expressed deep gratitude for their time with the group while revealing that they are stepping into new seasons of personal growth and ministry.
Naomi Raine, who has been one of the group’s most recognisable voices and songwriters, said her decision came after “a lot of prayer and consideration”.
“After a lot of prayer and consideration, I’ve decided that now is the best time to share that I’m no longer a part of Maverick City Music. Being part of Mav truly changed my life. What started as a group of folks singing in a shed has turned into something I could’ve never even imagined.”

Naomi reflected on the life-changing journey she’s had with the group, saying she has learned profound lessons about faith, people, and herself.
“I don’t regret one single thing, the highs, the lows, the lessons… all of it. Every song I was part of was written and sung from a pure place, just me wanting to please God,” she shared.
She added that God had given her the “green light” to focus on her individual calling, emphasising that she will continue to write, sing, and lead worship, just independently.
“I’ll always love and support the incredible artists I started this with, and I’m so grateful for the time we shared creating something that touched people all over the world. I hold onto those moments and will never forget what God did with a bunch of people who just loved God’s presence. To every single person who’s prayed for us, sung the songs, shown love, and supported us along the way… thank you. Truly. You have no idea what that means to me.
“This isn’t really an ending but a new beginning. A new chapter. I’m excited about the music, the ministry, and the purpose ahead. God’s not done yet.”
Chandler Moore
On his part, Chandler Moore described the decision as “bittersweet” but necessary for his next chapter.
“These last two years I’ve been locked in on what really matters in my life and in my career. It’s been scary at times but also full of fresh vision and real excitement about the future,” Chandler wrote.
He shared that when Maverick City began, he was simply grateful to find a community and a sense of belonging while pursuing his dream of making music that connects people to God.

“When we started Mav, I was grateful to have community and belonging while fulfilling my dream of making music that would help people experience God. And we did that in ways I couldn’t have imagined.”
Though he did not go into detail about future plans, Chandler hinted that he is entering a new phase filled with purpose and vision, thanking fans and fellow artists for their support throughout the journey.
