Kenyan singer David Mathenge, popularly known as Nameless, has announced that he will no longer be recording challenge videos of his hit song Nonstop with female video vixens.

The Boomba Train hitmaker explained that this decision came after persistent complaints from his wife about how he interacts and dances with the curvy vixens, saying the issue had become unbearable.

In a post shared on his Instagram on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, the singer is heard explaining that his decision was influenced by personal reflection as well as advice from others, leading him to put an end to the trend.

In the video, his wife, Wahu, is the one recording him, and she is seen making stern facial expressions—suggesting that she was the one who had asked him to make the video.

Actually, when Nameless starts his statement, he initially says that he had been instructed to make the decision but quickly changes his tone, claiming that he was the one who thought it was a good move after calling himself to a meeting.

“So, after a bit of umm… consideration, I have been instructed to—no, I have decided myself that maybe I should reduce and stop sharing content of me dancing with girls for this Nonstop challenge.”

The singer then thanked everyone who had joined him in the challenge and cheekily remarked that he hoped his wife would now participate with him—seemingly a witty rebuttal to her complaints and restrictions against him.

“Thank you for participating in the Nonstop challenge. I’m also hoping that maybe my wife, if she decides, can join me so we can do the challenge together. Of course, whatever she wants is fine. It’s just my general thought, and basically, I love my wife, and I love music.”

Nonstop Challenge

Nameless was referring to his song Nonstop, a Kenyan dancehall track that he released a week ago, featuring fast-rising Gengetone artist Maandy.

After the song’s release, Nameless launched a challenge where Kenyans—and his fans in general—could recreate its signature dance moves and share them across their pages to help promote it.

The challenge gained massive traction, particularly on TikTok, where many users took it up, making it one of the most popular viral challenges on the video-sharing app.

However, Nameless was among those who aggressively pushed the trend, especially when he teamed up with TikTok influencer and dancer Pricky, who is known for her curvaceous body and impressive dance moves.

In the challenge video—which is the one his wife saw and reshared on social media—Pricky is seen moving her lithe waist energetically near Nameless while he holds her by the waist, before she begins twerking in a heated synchronization.

The challenge became the most viral of those done for the song, and days later, Nameless’s wife hilariously recreated it in a skit—demonstrating how furious she was at her husband for dancing in such a suggestive manner with another woman.
