Kenyan gospel artiste Mercy Masika has joined Christina Shusho’s lineup to see us into 2024.
In an update, the Tanzanian songstress noted that Masika will be joining her on stage for the New Year’s concert adding that there is a special surprise awaiting fans.
“Who is excited??? I’m so happy that my sister@MercyMasika will be with us on the 31st crossover! And that’s not all. We have a pleasant surprise for you! Mnajua nyimbo gani ambazo tumeshirikiana na Mercy ? #crossoverNiMojaTu#ShushaNyavu,” Christina Shusho who recently got plenty of attention for her song lyrics stated.
Shusho and Masika have worked together on various projects including songs dubbed Divai and Rebecca.
Besides Mercy Masika, other guests set to perform include Tanzania singer Solomon Mkubwa and Kikuyu artiste Ngaruiya Jnr.
The update comes after comedy chief Daniel Ndambuki popularly known as Churchill hinted at reconsidering his lineup after criticism.
In a previous lineup, Shusho was scheduled to perform on the sidelines of a New Year’s Eve(NYE) comedy show much to the displeasure of fans.
Through his Instagram account, Churchill engaged netizens asking them to give suggestions for their ideal NYE gig this year and most are pushing for a full-blown gospel concert headlined by the Tanzanian songstress.
Besides Shusho, fans are also suggesting Kenyan artistes to perform including Eunice Njeri, Evelyne Wanjiru and Mercy Masika among others.
