He revealed that at one point, he felt himself sinking into depression as he tried to cope with the constant noise and judgment.
“I think one thing I noticed is that there was a time I was even depressed. But I also realised that some of the people who come to hurl such claims and criticism at you are actually going through worse struggles themselves,” he shared.

He recounted how a close friend noticed that he was not in a good state and urged him to take a break.

It was at that point that he decided to step away from social media completely, choosing silence and solitude as a means of healing.
According to him, that social media detox was the best decision he had ever made. He deliberately avoided online platforms, stayed indoors, and kept away from the public eye, creating space for himself to process the pain and detach from the falsehoods circulating about him.
“Everyone has their own battles, and if you start taking their criticism into your mind, it can easily drive you crazy. I remember there was a time I could feel the weight of that depression, but I decided to take a social media break. I told myself that what people say about me should not stress me because I know who I am, and I am not what they claim I am. That break from social media was the best decision I have ever made,” Gogo narrated.
MC Gogo maintained that the period of retreat gave him clarity and reminded him that his identity is not defined by external perceptions but by the truth he knows about himself.
He added that the break allowed him to rebuild his strength and reaffirm his focus, emerging stronger and more resolute.
“A friend of mine actually came up to me before I took the break and told me that I did not look okay, and I already knew I was not okay because many people had raised the issue. I then decided to avoid social media altogether because it had become the trigger. During the break, I just stayed at home and never stepped out,” he added.
