Mash Mwana opens up on how salvation helped him purchase Range Rover
By Steve Ireri, July 17, 2025Gospel singer Mash Mwana has spoken openly about how his faith has influenced his recent purchase of a new Range Rover, explaining that his spiritual convictions guide his decisions and shield him from the need to justify the expenses publicly.
Speaking to YouTuber 2 Mbili on the night of Wednesday, July 16, 2025, Mwana said that his approach to acquiring the vehicle was rooted in prayer and prioritising God’s kingdom above material wealth.
He insisted that the secret to acquiring such possessions lies in sincere prayers, stating that he firmly believes in the biblical teaching to “seek ye first the kingdom, then the rest will come.”
“On purchasing the new Range Rover, I will say seek ye first the kingdom, then the rest will come. That is how I purchased the car. The secret to buying new cars is prayers. This new vehicle is just a small expense,” Mwana said.
He described this principle as the foundation of his purchase, adding that while he cannot disclose the exact cost of the vehicle, it was made possible by focusing on spiritual matters first.
“About the exact cost, I cannot say. I will just say again: seek ye first the kingdom, and everything will follow. When you seek the kingdom first, the rest is not expensive.”
On that note, Mwana also revealed that his previous car, a Mercedes, is still in his possession but used sparingly, emphasising that the Range Rover represents a modest expense relative to his faith and priorities.
He stressed that when one places God first, material things follow naturally and cease to feel burdensome.
“And you must pray sincerely. Even the Mercedes I had before is still with me, but it is used occasionally.”
Missing in action
Addressing his absence from the music scene, Mash Mwana assured fans that he has not abandoned his craft.
He revealed that he continues to work on new music and recently released a song, with plans to launch additional tracks soon.
“I have not abandoned music. I am still producing and will continue to do so. I recently released a song, and another one is coming,” he said.
Among these is a surprise collaboration with one of Kenya’s leading gospel artistes.
He affirmed that his music career remains active and that fans should expect a series of releases by the end of the month.
“A surprise collaboration with one of the biggest gospel artists in Kenya is cooking. Music is coming back to back. By the end of the month, expect more.”
Relationship
On matters of his personal life, Mash Mwana spoke about his relationship, describing it as a source of joy and new beginnings.
He confirmed that his partner is supportive and plays an important role in managing his affairs, including advising him on financial matters.
“She is good. We continue to enjoy new love, new things, and new glory. These days, even when I am a manager and financier, my partner advises me on many things and oversees how matters progress.”
He also noted that despite the Range Rover’s high fuel consumption, he is fond of the vehicle and clarified that the purchase was not made using charity funds.
“The Range Rover has some issues with fuel consumption, but I like it. I did not buy it with charity money.”
