‘Who says there’s an age one should be married?’ – Pierra Makena explains why she is unmarried at 42

Kenyan entertainer DJ Pierra Makena has her reasons for not being cuffed yet at 42 years.

Speaking to YouTuber Oga Obinna, the mother of one revealed that she is yet to find a Mr Right to sweep her off her feet.

“Who says there is an age one should be married? I have had people saying certain things because I am not married. I do not want to get married to the wrong person to please society,” she expressed.

Adding;

“I have not met that one person who I can say ‘I want to spend the rest of my life with them.”

When asked about her ideal man, Makena described him as “God-fearing, hardworking.”

“Jitume, you do not have to be rich, a man who is clean and smells good. A good kisser,” the 42-year-old said.

However, when questioned if she would make the first move on a man, Makena admitted that she wouldn’t, citing past experiences of rejection.

“I would never hit on a man, what if he says no? I can use someone but I can’t do so directly. I have been rejected a couple of times before,” Makena shared.

Pierra Makena, baby daddy

The entertainer who is known for for keeping things on the hush-hush about her private life, recently revealed that her baby daddy got married to another woman while she was just five months pregnant for him.

In an interview with Eve Mungai, the mother of one recalled that after learning that she was pregnant, he vanished only to learn that he got married five months after their breakup.

“We were good together, but after we split and I found out I was pregnant, he disappeared. He wasn’t rude or mean about it, but five months later, he was saying ‘I do’ to someone else. It was incredibly painful. I didn’t think I could get past it, but I did. Life goes on,” Pierra shared.

She also explained that was not one to resort to legal action for child support noting that she would never take a man to court so he can act right by his child.

“I’d never take a guy to court. It just doesn’t sit right with me. I don’t want to force a man to pay. I believe it’s essential for the father to be there emotionally, to hug the baby, to be part of their life.”
